WHAT IS CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The term Circular Economy indicates a system in which the flow of biological materials can be reintegrated in the biosphere and the technical flow can be evaluated without entering it.
With this model, residue deriving from production and consumption enterprises are integrated into the productive cycle based on regeneration logic of resources, thus reducing human impact on the environment.

WHAT THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY PROVIDES

To achieve the “closing of the cycle” the model provides a review of the different phases of economic activity by:

  • Finding resources that drastically reduce the drain on natural capital
  • Concerning the production of goods, reducing initial waste in the transformation of resources, and guaranteeing at the design level, maximum reusability/recoverability until end of life.
  • Concerning waste management generated by the before-mentioned activities, ensuring through recovery of all residues still having a margin of utility, they are then reintroduced into the system, therefore making landfills and incinerators even less of an option.
