Nautical Start to Business – Genoa’s Boat Show

The Boating Start to Businesstook place during the 52nd edition of the Genoa’s Boat Show.

Genoa’s boat show is one of the most important International events dedicated to the boating field and boasts 750 exhibitors, 180,000 square meters of exhibition, 1,000 boats, about 115,000 visitors during the five-day event, more than 550 meetings reserved for professionals from 14 countries.

The Nautical Start to Business is a technologies Business Matching event dedicated to yachting which aims to meet the demand and supply of innovation

Start To Business is the meeting point among medium-large sized enterprises interested in giving a strong impetus to innovation (product and / or process) and companies that operate in high technology, committed to sell their most advanced solutions in more sizeable markets.

QUINN University Consortium in Engineering for Quality and Innovation and UCINA Boating Industrial association stand out among the organisations and sponsors of the event.

UK Trade & Investment

During the event, a commission made of experts, among which there were QUINN and UCINA personalities, examined a qualified group of around forty technology proposers, whose proposals include different field’s requirements.

Inside the Start to Business, the British Council and UK Trade & Investment assigned a special prize named “UK-Italy Nautical Innovation Award” to the most innovative solution with International growth potential: Ecodyger by SAL S.r.l.

The prize

The prize was assigned directly by Ms. Danielle Allen, UK Trade & Investment Director.

The UK Trade & Investment is the agency of the British Government that supports companies with headquarters in the UK to have access to international markets and helps foreign companies to settle in the United Kingdom and to expand globally. UKTI is present in 96 markets with a staff able to offer knowledge, contacts and experience in the sector supported by a team of experts in the UK. In Italy UKTI has offices in Milan, Naples and Rome at the British Consulate and the Embassy.
